Douglas Capital Management, LLC (DCM) is a Registered Investment Advisor in Illinois and California. DCM serves more than 160 clients in 14 different states.

Investment Philosophy

DCM's investment philosophy is a product of over seventeen years of research performed on stock market data, and many years of attempting to maximize the after-tax returns for accounts under management: 

• Asset allocation must be tailored for each client and must take into account the global macroeconomic views, the risk tolerance, and the tax implications of active trading for each individual client.
• An investment adviser must attempt to outperform the broad stock market indices on a post-tax basis in order to provide value to clients.
• Buy and sell decisions rely on the future predicted performance of each stock or Exchange Traded Fund (ETF).  DCM's proprietary performance prediction process uses fundamental and technical indicators, including measures of value, growth, and efficiency.
• The majority of the stock market research performed by DCM has been on common stocks and ETFs listed on United States exchanges.  Therefore stocks and ETFs that trade on US exchanges make up the majority of clients' investment portfolios.
• DCM invests in American Depository Receipts, micro-cap stocks, small-cap stocks, mid-cap stocks, large-cap stocks, stock ETFs, commodity ETFs, precious metals ETFS, and bonds.  DCM invests in both growth stocks and value stocks.
